Traveling in the local area and focusing on interesting places is easy to do when you live in the Annapolis Valley. On our last visit we noticed some Sea Stacks, geological formations across the beach from where we were and we investigated to find you can access this area at low tide.
A quick hike across the ocean floor and voila. You're there.
Note, however, you must plan accordingly or you will be stranded by the relentless tides of the Minas basin.
The geology is unique and the defined layers can be seen in the bare cliffs along Medford Beach.
